Review: Rebellion, Arthur de Jeuffosse

Hi everyone!! Does nothing by posting a review of Dark Tears and now plays for its continuation: Rebellion. The review is more than usual cortita (quotations make it seem longer XD) because I did not mention details editing or narration that I discussed in the previous book and remain unchanged in this (I love how he writes De Jeuffosse ... simple but elegantly, without slang *__*) not to mention that just talk about the story itself not to disclose anything about this book or its predecessor.

Personal Summary (no spoilers):

Rebellion begins the same way that Dark Tears, with the same words, but in a completely different. Between the end of Dark Tears and Reblión principle only a very few days have passed, and we will be in full race against time.

Dark Tears At the end of the Amazons decide once over their destiny, and Rebellion show us the consequences of that decision, for better or for worse.

Quote book:
followed All lined up, trying to leave behind their heavy distress. There was no time for more regrets. Mourning demanding their ancestors should be satisfied with the little procession of fallen shields and haggard faces, because Amazon would no longer look back. This needed all his attention, and their past and nobody could take it away. At the end of the day, the past is always a memory.

Personal Review (no spoilers):

If history Dark Tears that was presented introductory and partly contained action adventure, Rebellion is quite an event of events that we have stuck to the pages of the book to finish reading. We will see how some people can have everything at one time to ruin the next moment. Grow in us an impressive indignation for the wrongs committed, but the author will reward us with great satisfaction.

And not only that. If the first book contained touches of drama, humor and romance, in this second find most unfortunate and extremely raw, situations and conversations that make us smile and a laugh, and love will be consolidated as a part of the plot so we will witness some really beautiful and touching, and not just hand Aleida.

Quote book:
- [...] It's a strange feeling the love. I do not understand well. I would say that is a feeling intended for the gods, but that has allowed us humans.
- No. That's where you're wrong. It is the feeling most human of all. It's like ourselves, capable of causing the greatest happiness and the greatest pain to the same person. I believe that only mortals can feel something like that feeling knowing you can make us happy or miserable forever - thought Aleida.

As for the characters , Aleida mature a lot and begins to form as a leader , but I do not think the character that stands out in the history. Eunice not only manifest their innate ability to survive and become an excellent strategist, but will prove no one leader for nothing. Unfortunately also learn other strategies to win a war. But the character who wins the gold medal during the first half of the book espe nte is precisely the one man who came with the Amazons, a young to demonstrate loyalty, camaraderie and respect for those courageous women and will not hesitate to risk his life for them.

I
to highlight other characters in the second half of the book, and are responsible for the humor of it. I admit that I loved that part, and compensates somewhat the harshness of the first half of reading.

Al final of Rebellion closes a cycle in the history of the Amazons , matching the complainant the outcome with a quote from the history written by the Greek historian Herodotus. However, that is only one front presented by the author. The other is completely open and ready for a outcome for which, unfortunately, today we have to wait.

Quote book:
- [...] From that moment I wanted to see beyond what is craved out of our lives, even without knowing it, I wanted to really decide.
- Decide? Does anyone here by force? - Eunice asked hurt.
- If you do not know what is outside, you can not decide. If you only know an option, we can say that freely choose? - Stacia asked.

The bad? Yes, despite all this and note that I have given the book (which in my opinion deserves far - remember that this blog does not reach the maximum) I have some faults to note. One is the issue in terms of spelling errors I highlighted in the review of Dark Tears and repeated in this book.

The other two have to do with history. One is dealing with some minor character, then there is one that seems particularly relevant and given an important role during the earlier book and this, and suddenly we do not hear anything the same, and vice versa, it appears out of nowhere a character who had always been there but had never been mentioned. The other is on the "time" , and I found a bug stupid and careless. Dark tears starting practically at the end of autumn, and its end is developed theoretically in the spring, same time of the beginning of Rebellion. Even if we are at the end of the season, it is impossible within days the summer comes to an end . or Not to mention that we consider to be generous among the Amazons Aleida take more than a year ... It may seem silly, but although this decision does not tarnish the story itself to me quite my head right off.

Conclusion: a splendid then to the beginning of the trilogy Amazon, with more mature characters and even stronger, a more raw and funny situations, scary and beautiful. Rebellion In my opinion it surpasses its predecessor , and am eager to read the front end that De Jeuffosse been left open to this end. As the last book of the trilogy follow the line of these two promises to be devastating and, frankly, I have no idea if we Smiles, tears, or both on your end. I'm dying to find out.

Note:

A Besuki and thanks for reading!
